I just read something that resounded quite strongly with me.
“Love is about really being seen and known”
I agree with this (in part: love is quite a bit more, after all…) Sometimes, all our posturing, our tantrums and our arguments are just a desperate attempt to be noticed. Sometimes, we try and send people away, just to try and see if they refuse/come straight back. It’s a twisted logic, but it’s really just a test: does this person know me well enough to see what i’m doing to them, and/or do they love me enough to ignore me and get to the root issue.
People are complex. Sometimes, we go totally against what we should. Sometimes we do things for the sadistic pleasure of seeing the outcome. And sometimes we’re wrong to.
